USMNT’s Brenden Aaronson nets as Leeds stun Chelsea 3-0 in commanding win

In a new piece of news, United States forward Brendan Aaron scored the first goal in Leeds United’s 3-0 win against Chelsea on Sunday, continuing Jesse Marsh’s team’s impressive start to the 2022 23 season.

Leeds took seven points from their opening three games and got off to a good start when Edouard Mendy failed a routine clearance, allowing Aaronson to take advantage of the half-hour mark.

The US forward took the ball off the feet of the Chelsea goalkeeper and dribbled into an empty net Hit Harrison hard.

The Spaniard scored his fourth Premier League goal of the season. In a brilliant performance, Leeds added a third in the 69th minute; Daniel James’ cross gave way to Rodrigo to Harrison, who eased the lead, leaving Mendy behind.

Marsh said that it was the best performance since I have come here. You are starting to see a bunch of players who understand their role go about their lives.

The way we played decided the match, we made mistakes from them. These quality players can pass the ball all day long if we give them time.

Thomas Tuchel was on the touchline as his ban was suspended for last week’s clash with Tottenham boss Antonio Conte Marsh, who said Tuchel should not be allowed on the bench, told Sky Sports ahead of the game.

Chelsea manager’s involvement did not prompt Chelsea to make a comeback as summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off five minutes ahead of time and Tuchel’s side fell for their first loss of the season.

Thomas Tuchel said: “We scored a goal and conceded with a set piece; the loss has nothing to do with pressure, nothing to do with Leeds’ style.”

We were able to be a better team but then it was 2 0 and our body language was not like the last match I don’t see the losing connections from Leeds style.
