Sanna Marin: Finnish PM says videos of her ‘boisterous’ partying shouldn’t have been made public

In a new piece of news, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has admitted to partying “shiny” after a private video was released, but said she was upset that criticism of political opponents was leaked to the media.

The video shows the 36-year-old leader of Finland dancing with friends in a private setting, Marin told reporters in Kuopio, Finland. ,

He said that I spent a night with my friends. We had just had a party that too with full enthusiasm. I danced and sang. She said the footage showed Marin and five others posing and dancing in front of the camera.

This had prompted some of Marin’s detractors to criticize him for having treated a prime minister as indecent. MP Mikko Karn tweeted that Marin should get a drug test.

Marin told reporters that he had consumed alcohol but was not aware of any drug use during the party, meanwhile supporters defended him and accused critics of applying double standards.

Why can’t she party after work? Hope our leaders won’t be human? Ashok Swain, professor of peace and conflict research at Uppsala University in Sweden, tweeted that Marin denied that the leaking of the video was part of a blackmailing scheme.

They are being blackmailed, these are private videos and have been made public. This is how Marin’s personal life has been politicized in Finland.”

He apologized to the public earlier in 2021 after a picture of him in a nightclub surfaced after the Finnish foreign minister tested positive for Covid 19.

Marin said in a television interview with then-public broadcaster Yale that he is a real person, even though I am a prime minister so I will not change the way I behave.

Of course I have to be careful what I say as it may be represented as a whole government but I am still a person and will be in the future.
